Reeses Rice Krispies

Our helper..hoping for some dropped goodies.

Reese Rice Krispies (original recipe here):
Ingredients: 1 cup sugar, 1 cup corn syrup, 1 & 1/3 cup peanut butter, 4 cups rice krispies, pinch o' salt, 4 chopped Reese's PB cups, and 1/4 cup chocolate chips.
Instructions: In large sauce pan over medium heat, melt the sugar, corn syrup, & peanut butter until smooth. Remove the pan from the heat, add the salt and cereal, and then mix that well. Add the chocolate chips, stir well. Then after a minute, add the candy pieces without mashing them up. Plop them on some parchment paper, let them cool, then enjoy!
Thoughts: I took these to work and everyone loved them! They're delicious and very simple to make. They're an awesome way to mix up an old recipe and I highly recommend them!

Tie-Dye Cookies

I caved and joined the Pinterest craze about two weeks ago. I made a board called "recipes i'll never actually try" for all the delicious food I found. Well, I proved myself wrong. I saw tie-dye cookies and knew they were going to be my next creation. They are delicious, wonderfully colorful, and a bit of a mess but oh, SO much fun. :)
original recipe here & linking up with wordless wednesday but with words. :)

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

This is a great recipe that yields fabulous results! I brought these in for my coworkers and they absolutely loved them. So much so that they offered me money to pay for the ingredients to make them again - haha! So if you're looking for a treat for a holiday party, go no farther than these delicious Peanut Butter Cup Cookies!
Take ..
1/2 cup milk
1/3 cup softened butter
2 large eggs
2 tbsps unsweetened cocoa powder
3/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 choc. cake box mix
& a bag of mini Reese's cups.
Combine everything but the cake mix, then mix that in last.
Place the scoops roughly 2 inches apart on cookie sheets lined with parchment paper. Bake those babies at 375 for nine to ten minutes, wait a few minutes after taking them out, and then move them to a cooling rack.
While they cool, mix up the peanut butter icing! Mix up..
3/4 cup of peanut butter
1/2 cup of softened butter
1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
1 pound of powdered sugar
& 1/3 to 1/2 cup of whole milk.
Mix them all together and beat it on a high setting for four minutes or so until it's nice and fluffy.
Chop up them Reese's!
For an icing bag, you can put the frosting in a zippie and snip the corner off.
If the cookies seem a little cake-like, that's okay, they're supposed to be.
Top the cookies with some frosting, stick half a Reese's in, and you're good to go. This recipe is perfect for an occasion. Imagine a tiny slice of cake in cookie form, with delicious peanut butter icing, and a Reese's cup on top, and there you go. Pure magical deliciousness. I found the recipe here! Let me know if you try it out or have any questions.

Chocolate Marshmellow Squares

If there were ever a time to file a post under my magical deliciousness label, it is now. It's no secret to my friends, family,
and people-I-met-5-minutes-ago that I love smores. So when I saw this online I knew it was going to be tried. It's a quick and easy snack you can whip up in just a few minutes!
For this recipe you need graham crackers, mini mellows, caramel OR butterscotch topping (optional), and chocolate chips!
Take one cup of mini marshmallows
eight graham crackers and half a cup of chocolate chips
and put them together to make them all pretty like this.
Next you can add your butterscotch or caramel topping. Then last (but not least!) you can put them into the oven for 5-7 minutes at 350° degrees! The marshmallows should be puffed and the chips slightly melted.
After they're done baking, it's best to leave them a few minutes before taking them off the foil because the graham crackers can get a little soft while baking. After that, all that's left to do is grab some milk and enjoy!
Yes, my Snoopy cup is super cool. Now go and go nom nom on yummyness.

Double Chocolate Oreo Bars

I made these fantstically delicious and ridiculously easy Double Chocolate Oreo Bars on Thursday and would love if you would make them too! & maybe send a few my way then? Thanks. :D
All they take is twenty-four Oreos, two cups of chocolate chips, a teaspoon of vanilla, 1/4 of a cup of butter, and one 14oz can of sweetened condensed milk.
First off, split your Oreos into groups of six and eighteen.
In a food proccesser or blender, chop up that group of eighteen Oreos into a nice crumb.
Very fine crumbs work the best. Then in a bowl, melt your butter completely and mix it together with the crumbs.
Use a greased and floured 13x9 pan and then press your butter/Oreo mix into the bottom evenly.
Take one cup of chocolate chips and put it in a bowl with the milk & vanilla.
Next, stick it in the microwave for about 30 seconds. Then mix it around so that it becomes nice and smooth.
It should look like milk chocolate... because that's basically what it is!
Spread that evenly into your pan.
Then take the remaining cup of chocolate chips and scatter those around. Then take those other six Oreos (yeah, remember them? They weren't for you to eat yet!) and crush them and put them on top.
Proceed to bake for 20-25 minutes at 325 degrees. After the pan has cooled, let it chill in the fridge for a while before cutting them otherwise it makes for a BIG mess!
After that, you're ready to grab a glass of milk and enjoy!
