For the past two years I've taken one of the branches trimmed off our real tree and decorated it. Sadly, I miss my opportunity this year and they got thrown out. When I saw a little tree for $7 at Joanns, I couldn't pass it up. I love it. It might never get put away. Also..it currently has painted acorns on it and one Pennsylvania Dutch star. :)

We had a fresh layer of snow on Saturday night.. followed by a layer of icy freezing rain. The next morning was super pretty though.

The Circus Comes to Glick's
The annual poinsettia show at the local greenhouse is one of my favorite Christmas-y activities. Beautiful flowers, homemade wreaths by local businesses (including mine, see below :)), popcorn and cider, a new fun theme every year, and of course, you can't come home without a poinsettia for yourself. :)
This year's the theme was Circus! Probably one of my favorites to date. :)
4-foot maneating chicken..haha!

Timber!
Our fam went out this afternoon to chop down the annual Christmas tree. It had to trek through a bit of mud, but we found a good one. :)
Today starts December Photo Project (DPP)! I've participated the past three years and I've really enjoyed it. The project is to take a photo once a day until the 25th of December. I'm looking forward to the challenge of breaking out my camera more! Be sure to check it out and sign up if you're looking for a fun way to photograph the holidays. You'll be seeing more from me this month.. hope your Sunday was a good one. :)

Philadelphia
I'm not typically a city kind of girl.. but Philly? I kind of love it. The cheesesteaks, city hall, Phillies games, painted murals, Love Park, and of course, Rocky, are all wonderful. So a date to the Philadelphia Art Museum and then walking down the Benjamin Franklin Parkway? Perfect.
Monet's work is my favorite. So colorful, yet peaceful.
A look down the parkway. It was a lovely walk. :)
Macy's light show. :)
If you're ever in Philly, let me know. I'll tell you all about it and let you know where to get the best cheesesteak..although opinions differ ;).
