Acadia Fall of 2011

In honor of the beginning of true fall (aka October), here's the photos I never posted from Acadia in October 2011. My sister & I went camping for three nights and hiked/photographed the amazing fall color.

These waters were freezing. But the two shots below were acquired due to those wet feet!

I miss Maine.. such a lovely state. Where's your favorite place in the fall?

Summer Memories // Maine 2012

This past summer, two friends & I embarked on an adventure. It was the first of it's kind, just three gals, a packed car, and no parents. We camped in Acadia NP for a few nights, took the ferry over to Vinalhaven (offshore island) for a couple days, and stopped in Boston. Together we figured out food, gas, directions, and more. It was a blast! We're already plotting out next year's adventure. :) Here's a few shots from our time in Acadia..
The classic sunrise on Cadillac Mountain - the first spot on the East Coast to see sunshine.
We packed my Santa Fe (Susannah) and put the camping gear on the roof. We put over 1,500 miles on it over the trip. :)

We figured out campfire cooking by ourselves.

We found starfish!

Susannah chillin' up on the beach.

We ate a lot of hot dogs, hamburgers, and smores. :)

Tomorrow: our next stop, Vinalhaven. :)
