>> Skidaway State Park, Savannah GA

While we were traveling the south, we wanted our trip to be as inexpensive as possible, so we camped. We absolutely loved our second campground, Skidaway State Park. It was only about 25 minutes from Savannah, which made it convenient. But we had no idea this park was so fun! We would have loved to hike the other trails if we had the time. Ah well, next time. :)

Camping life: pancakes & leftover fried chicken from the night before. ;)

The sites were large and spaced out well. Plus we were only a short walk from the bathroom, which was nice in the middle of the night. :)
We did a three-mile hike to find a geocache. Georgia is so beautiful!

Skidaway has a small nature center, with a baby alligator that I got to touch!

They also have a great exhibit on giant sloths. :)
We absolutely loved our nights at Skidaway! The staff was very helpful and super nice, we'd definitely go back if we ever camp near Savannah again.
