Hawk Mountain Mornings

Just a few photos from one of my favorite places, Hawk Mountain. :) The foggy mornings, early sunshine and empty trails are a lovely combination.

  1. These are some of the most beautiful photos I have ever seen...seriously. I am going to google where this is. I'm trying to determine if that was an owl you caught midflight...? The mountain peeks through the mist are just stunning. I hope you enlarge some of these...such a joy to look at!

    1. Your kind words are too much! Thanks for the encouragement. :) Hawk Mountain Sanctuary is a very popular place in Eastern PA. Due to how the winds flow through the applachians, it makes this peak an excellent spot to watch thousands of raptors migrating south from September to November. If you're ever on the East Coast during those months, it's definitely worth a visit! I'm thankful it's only 45 minutes away. :) I've seen all sorts of raptors up there, including Bald Eagles (and on Sunday) a Golden Eagle!

  2. Those views are AMAZING. The third photo took my breath away. I can't imagine what it's like being there in real life!
